Rules for CT Shootout Busch Series class.


Chassis

All chassis must be a stamped steel flexi car chassis.
No aluminum chassis or pans are allowed.
Allowable chassis are: Parma Flexi 1,2,3,4, Champion T-Flex, Astro, Mossetti, JK,
Scorpion 1,2,3, Cheetah, etc.
No cutting of the chassis is allowed other than specified.
Hot wings may be added to Parma chassis, motor may be soldered to chassis, front
Axle may be soldered to chassis and or hot wing.
Motor bracket may be enlarged to allow better gear mesh.
Body pin tubes are allowed.
Rear upright braces are allowed.
Guide flag: Any are allowed.

Motor Specifications:

Any 16D setup made for Parma or SlotWorks. D cans only.
Any unbalanced 16D arms such as those sold by Parma, SlotWorks, Mura, ProSlot, etc..
Only original equipment hardware may be used, other than spring cups.
Any motor brushes.
Any motor springs may be used.
Magnets may be glued into position, but no shim material may be used and magnet clips must be retained.
Oilite may be soldered or glued to the can.
New holes may be drilled in the can to attach the end bell, and screws holding the endbell on may added or replaced.
Armature spacers may be added, armature may be retrued and magnets may be zapped, but not polished or "honed".
The can and/or magnets cannot be modified to provide axle clearance, but the can oilite may be notched so as to provide gear and/or chassis clearance.
**NOTE** It is the responsibility of the racers to make sure that their armature meets the minimum dimensions of a stack length of 0.600 inch and 0.513 inch minimum diameter and 70 turns of 30 gauge wire.
Inside can dimensions are height 0.600 inch, width 0.875 inch and length 0.950 inch. Minimum dimensions for the magnets are height 0.580 inch, length 0.650 inch and thickness 0.150 inch.

Body:

Any mass produced stock car body no matter how wild.
Bodies such as DCR Pro Lumina, Parma Outlaw “M” and Outlaw “T” and Dirt Oval are the intent of this class.
You may also use a body from the Sr. Group 10 rules but the roof height will not be check. No interiors are needed.

Gears:

Any gear ratio allowed.
Must be 48 pitch gears, plastic or metal.
May solder pinion on motor.

Tires:

Any diameter tire may be used. Must be black.
Minimum rear axle diameter is 1/8 inch. Axles may be flat spotted but not hollow.
Minimum front tire diameter is ½ inch, minimum front axle diameter is 0.047.
Drilled or lightweight front and rear wheels are allowed.
